Major Bugs

- Fixed an item dupe bug.
- Video improvements for Intel Mac machines with OS 10.5 or greater.


Minor Bugs

- Uber Mephisto now checks for both Uber Baal and Uber Diablo to be killed before spawning summoned minions (Before he would only check for Uber Baal).
- The game will no longer stop and then restart the game music after the window loses and then regains focus.
- Fixed an issue where the game window would minimize when running in windowed mode when it lost focus.
- Fixed an issue where the game window wouldn't center properly when it was created.

Specific changes/improvements

- Respecialization is now possible! Completing the 'Den of Evil' quest will now additionally reward 1 free respec which can be saved. Players who have already completed this quest should receive 1 free respec in Hell difficulty.
- Increased the drop rate of high runes.
- Support for blit scaling in windowed mode. The game can now be maximized to the largest 4:3 resolution supported (hooray widescreen users).
- Some rare drop items now have an orange color. i.e. Runes and items required for Uber Tristam.
- Modified the gold bank limit to be a flat cap not bound by level.
- Nightmare/Hell WilloWisps champions/uniques have had their damage greatly reduced.
- Removed the requirements to create a hardcore character.
- Greatly reduced the explosion damage dealt by Fire Enchanted monsters.
- Uber Mephisto and Uber Baal's summoned minions no longer give experience.
- Removed Oblivion Knight's Iron Maiden curse.
- Hellfire Torch Firestorm proc rate has been reduced to 5%.
- Users can now toggle the display of text over the Health and Mana globes by clicking on the bottom area of each orb.
- Updated two Act 5 mercenary names to Klar and Tryneus.
- When creating a single player game, pressing the 'Enter' key now automatically creates a Hell difficulty game if possible.
- When creating a game, each difficulty button is now bound to a unique key: Normal 'R', Nightmare 'N', and Hell 'H'.
- The 'Enter Chat' Button in the battle.net waiting room is now bound to the 'Enter' key.
- Added the windows system buttons to the game window (MIN, MAX, CLOSE).
- Added new command line parameter '-nofixaspect' which allows users to not fix the aspect ratio to 4:3 when maximizing windowed mode. This lets the game 'stretch' to fill your monitor.
- Added support for '-sndbkg' command line switch. This enables sound in background.
- Added support for '-nosound', '-window', and '-windowed' command line options.

-Immolation Arrow - Increased radius of Explosion effect by 33% and Immolation effect by 50%.

-Shadow Master - Increased resistance range per point from 5-80 to 5-90.


Barbarian

-Whirlwind - Reduced initial mana cost by 50%.
-Masteries - Changed critical strike chance from 0-25 to 0-35.


Paladin

-Blessed Hammer - No longer ignores resistances of undead and demons.


Druid

-Werebear - Damage bonus increased by 15% across all ranks.
-Werebear - Increased health by 25% and armor by 1% per point.
-Shockwave - Synergy from Maul adds 5% damage per point.


Necromancer

-Blood Golem - Removed negative shared life effect (player no longer loses life when golem takes damage).
-Corpse Explosion - Increased base damage dealt from 60% - 100% to 70% - 120% of corpses health.
-Poison Nova - Increased base damage by 15%.


Sorceress

-Firewall - Synergy receives 1% damage per point of Inferno and Blaze and 4% per point of Warmth.
-Blaze - Synergy receives 2% damage per point of Firewall and 4% per point of Warmth.
-Hydra - Increased base damage by 15% per rank.
-Hydra - Increased base speed of Hydra projectile.
-Hydra - Reduced cooldown by 25%.
-Lightning Mastery - Reduced overall effect by 15%.

Work commences on patch 1.13. We won't be providing any information on when the patch will be available, except that we expect the PTR to be available "soon". We will provide some amount of warning very, very shortly before the PTRs become available. Please keep in mind that any number of factors could delay the start of the PTR and ultimate release of the patch. Thanks for being patient, we're getting close now.

Warden update ?

From Sheppard :
They didn't update Warden, all they did was activating one of its powerful checks. They do now check for a jump hook in user32.PeekMessageA, if there is a jump hook opcode they will follow it and then checksum a little code portion of it.

- Open Seals + Killing diablo takes now only 1:30 to 1:45mn for me (with 75fc) !
- If for any reason a seal is missed, you got a timeout so your char won't be stuck waiting for Diablo to spawn anymore!

How to install :
-Add NTFastDiablo.dbl to your bot scripts folder (..scripts/libs/bots), add to your NTConfig_Paladin_NAME.dbl : NTConfig_Script.push("FastDiablo");

Process Tamer

I was using BES (Battle Encoder Shirase) before to limit CPU usage per process, especially for OS Virtualization. Running three or four bots with a single core processor (mine is A64 3500+ 2.21ghz) could become really unstable with no limitation; and it allow me to use my host system while multi-botting but..for listening music, editing code, watching movie, that's it.

Usually i set my vm such as : 256ram & 15-20% CPU; and this is enough for Diablo botting.

Recently, i've found this usefull software, so i decided to make a post and share it !

Process Tamer is a tiny (140k) and super efficient utility for Microsoft Windows XP/2K/NT/Vista that runs in your system tray and constantly monitors the cpu usage of other processes. When it sees a process that is overloading your cpu, it reduces the priority of that process temporarily, until its cpu usage returns to a reasonable level.

What you need:

• A Barbarian with at least 1 point in all skills of the Masteries tree, Battle Command, Battle Orders, and Shout.
  
• Proper stats to equip the buff items.
  
• Items to add states: Dream, Dragon, Infinity, Treachery, Rain, Demon Limb, et cetera.

Basic description of the 'sploit:
An entity that exceeds 18 (or 19 - something like that) states causes the server to send a packet (0xAA) to the clients in which the state info is too long with no terminator. This results in a deadlocked client, and the victim must end the Diablo II process before they are disconnected from Battle.net (there will be a short delay thereafter as well). This can lead to literal EZPKs.

What to do:

• Get 13 states from Masteries, BO, BC, and Shout.
  
• Get 6 more states from buff items.
  
• Get within 3-4 screens of your victim(s). (-edit;clarification- You must be off their screen beforehand and *then* get within their proximity.)
  
• Watch them sit there for a minute (Optional if possible: PK them) and then they will eventually drop.

Multiple Diablo II Instances & No-CD

1. Virtual Machine - This is one of the the safest ways. I'm not going to get into detail on how to set it up as there are plenty of documentations on that. If you don't know what a Virtual Machine is, you're basically running an Operating System inside your Operating System. A Blizzard Technical Support Representative has said that Blizzard will not ban for the usage of VMWare. This is the most tedious way to achieve multiple instances, however.

2. Sandbox - This is probably the easiest way to run multiple instances without using an actual Diablo II "hack". However, this /could/ still be considered third-party software, but it is unlikely that you will get banned for using it.

Install Sandboxie
Make a copy of your Diablo II folder.
Use Serby's CD-Key Changer to change the keys used by your original Diablo II folder.
Right Click on your second Diablo II.exe or shortcut to "Run Sandboxed!"

3. D2Launcher - *Chance of detection!* D2Launcher is a D2Loader substitute that allows multiple instances and offers a few more commandline options. D2Launcher removes its patches and unloads once Diablo II is loaded.

CommandLine Options:
-title "title here" : Changes the window title
-mpq mpqnamehere.mpq : Load MPQs
-cachefix : Renames bncache.dat to .dat !! *WARNING* !! This modifies the memory! Not recommended!

4. Fast User Switching on XP - I'm not sure if this is possible with other versions of Windows, but it works with XP. First you need to make sure "Fast User Switching" is enabled. To do this go to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on or off. After that, create a second user account if you don't already have one. Now you need to copy your Diablo II folder and use Serby's CD-Key Changer to change your main Diablo II folder's CD-Key set. After this, you can run one Diablo II instance, then switch user accounts and run the second. Also check this link for User Switching.

"How can I play without the CD in the CD-drive?"


The first step is to make sure you have performed a 'Full install' option of the game when it was initially installed, or insert your Diablo II CD and choose the 'Upgrade to Full install' option.

You will need to repeat this upgrade process with the Expansion CD as well if you have it.

You will now need to copy a file from the Original Play CD, and Expansion CD if you have the expansion.



Windows Users:

• From the Diablo II play CD, you will need to copy the file D2MUSIC.MPQ to your Diablo II installation folder (normally C:\Program files\Diablo II)
  
  
• If you also have the expansion installed, you will also need to copy the D2XMUSIC.MPQ from your Expansion CD and place this in your Diablo II folder as well.

Mac Users:
You will need to make sure that you have performed a full install of the game, and as well as the copying, you will have to rename the files.

Diablo II Ladder Reset – Patch 1.13

I hope everyone is ready for the move, maybe it will not happen at the end of this month, but it's highly possible! Yes Ladder will reset soon this is not a fake. I got in mind that it's time for me to give my current ladder accounts to my friends and prepare Vmware : formatting each partitions to put a fresh and stable originally cloned system (xp pro sp3). For each battlenet ladder i start usually with a *blizzard sorceress, this char is easy to play and able to level very fast to start our 1st bot ! Baalrunning in normal/nightmare is simple and in about 8 hours playing you will reach hell world. You can also start Mf'ing Andy/Meph/Pindle (manually) to get some gear for botting in hell (lvl75+) and not in nightmare (65+) with this sorc or with a light sorc build. I use this cold sorc after reset mostly because it's effortless to collect gear for a future paladin (when i get some free time i can start doing some diaruns with it and expecting a better gear for all diablo characters while sorceress is/are botting!!!

About merc weapon

Merc weapon compared :

If i should sort them :

1st : Eth Thresher
2st : Eth Cryptic Axe(Ca)
3st : Eth Colossus Voulge(Cv)

Eth Giant poleaxe and Eth Giant thresher are used mostly for Breath Of The Dying (BOTD) runeword.
Eth Thresher and Eth Cryptic Axe are nice for Infinity + Insight(142 and 155str only)
Eth Colossus voulge require alot of str, so you need to get 200str on your merc.

If Cv is popular that because when you add sockets to an Eth Colossus Voulge, you will get 4 socks for sure!

Diablo Clone Hunting - Easy Way

*Things to know :

• You need a good char such as Hammerdin, Smiter (Other classes/Special builds can kill him too).
• When you create a game, you will be connected to a random IP address of the Battle net servers.
• If 75-150 SOJS are sold on the same server Diablo Clone will appear(Sometimes you will get D/C or server will crash, it happens).
• IP's range are different for all realms : USEAST - USWEST - EUROPE - ASIA; be sure you are looking to the right place.
• DC spawns as the first new Super Unique Monster you come across.

*How to know if you are on the correct ip when you are in game :

1. Go to the start menu, click on run, and type in "cmd" and then press run
2. Type in blackbox the following: netstat -n ;or netstat -n | find "4000"
3. You will get a list of a whole bunch of numbers; each one is a different IP address.
4. Look for the one that ends in .4000, that's the Diablo one. It will look something like xx.xxx.xxx.xx.4000
5. Look for the IP, it will be the numbers directly to the left of the .4000, so if you get something that looks like xx.xxx.xxx.86.4000, this means you are on server .86 (Don't care about the xx numbers)
6. Keep creating games and typing in netstat -n until you find a game that is on the IP you want.

If you make more than 3 games a minute, you will get a temporary IP ban, and you won't be able to connect to Battle net for 10 minutes. 20 games max per hour, switching keys and patience are a must!

Hacks and bots, risky or not?

Warden hasn't been updated recently, it is still running but not scanning at this time for all currents hacks, like d2launcher, cguard..

There is always a risk when you cheat! This risk is unpredictable, if blizzard decide to use a new anti-cheat module, we can't know before being banned, because if it wasn't Warden scanning and getting us banned, it is something else => a new anti-cheat module.

Turbot itself is safe, D2launcher could get you banned, turbot will never.
Since Turbot project has started, nobody has been banned for using Turbot but only for external programs such as D2loader.

Blizzard wants you to make suggestions for Patch 1.13

Update:
There has been no update in Warden since the 26th Feb. There is a high speculation that Blizzard will be sneaking in a new Warden module to wipe out some botters. You are advised to not bot, but at this time you should be safe. I will do my best to keep you guys informed of the current status.

Blizzard might have upped the stakes with a possible new Warden module designed to detect/counter cGuard. It is advised that you stop using both pieces of software until the team fully investigates this possibility. For the moment we have taken down the download links for both cGuard/D2BS.

We will keep you informed on the situation as it unfolds, but for now please hold off on botting. We have already received individual reports that bannings could be happening.

I highly suggest to sell items vs fg/$ in order to buy new cdkeys!

Official Statement about Warden

Blizzard recently started to ban people for the use of modified Skills.txt, ANIMDATA.D2 and CHARSTATS.TXT. Also they started flagging people for the use of cGuard, which is D2BS's anti-detection.

So if you've used D2BS lately I suggest you to xfer your items off with a clean Diablo II installation. If you lost your D2 CDs you can download it from Blizzards store. McGod made a nice guide about it which you can find here.

You can expect a new cGuard release this weekend, which will contain preemptive anti-detection code aswell.

Warden is scanning again...

I was playing, botting as usual, and suddenly when switching to cdkey3 while trying to hunt Diablo clone i saw a common message : "This installation key has been disabled"

But hey, it's making me smile :
-i still have all accounts working
-nobody has my cdkeys currently used for playing/botting (i know i almost never play with my hands.. hihi)
-one key banned, i was using alot more on the same ip and at the same time with strictly the same hacks : Turbot-D2bs-D2launcher

As far as i know Warden is scanning about Cguard ! And you certainly know that Cguard is there for protecting our ass!

Well Sheppy has said that he will upgrade Cguard and this time i think we'll be safe for more time ^^ (i know more informations, but i prefer to keep that for me!)

How to : D2launcher + Turbot v8.5x

I/ What's this program?

- D2launcher is a d2loader replacement, it allow you to load Diablo II with multiple keys, and multiple windows.
You can use D2Launcher w/o TurboT, just create a shortcut.
D2Launcher integrate a new anti-detection system: cGuard (credit to sheppard),
but this doesn't mean you won't be banned in the future .
Use this progam at your OWN risk!!!!!

II/ D2Launcher Donwload

- You need vc++ 2008 runtimes to run d2launcher so click here : Visual C++2008

- Now you can dl d2launcher: Link 1(RS) - Link 2(Official)

III/ Installation (for TurboT)

- Dezip "D2Launcher.zip", into your Diablo II folder (prefer this option).
- Open "D2launcher.ini", and edit the D2 Folder entry.
- Use cGuard if you want.
- Now rename "D2Launcher.exe", in "Diablo II.exe".

IV/ Commandline Parameters for using w/o TurboT

-title "foo" // Set the Diablo II window title to foo.
-mpq foo.mpq // Load foo.mpq
-cachefix // Renames bnache.dat to .dat (Warning: Memory modification!)

V/ Run multiple Diablo II with D2launcher

About Hacks

TurboT v8 don't support D2Loader, RedVex or BlueVex

About GlobalStatServer

TurboT will send a status report to a server called "Global Stat Server" after every 30th game. This includes: operating system name + build number, realm + character name, game success (yes/no) + length, boss success list (boss name + yes/no) + length, stashed item list (quality, name)
TurboT don't send any account/password information.

AutoCatalog

After you configured TurboT to run properly, you can use the AutoCatalog feature easily. Just fill the profiles\_AutoCatalog.ini with your accounts' information and password, and run AutoCatalog.exe. It'll login with all your (specified) accounts and all characters inside one by one. It'll create a game with them and makes a catalog from the items inside the Stash and Inventory. You can find the generated catalog files in the logs\catalogs folder. It will automatically create two file for each characters. The file in the following form: "account!character.txt" contains the character's equipment in a row format. The "d2jsp.account.character.txt" file contains the same but formatted to d2jsp style.

Windows Vista

It seems that TurboT and all modules are fully compatible with Windows Vista, but you need to turn off the User Account Control (UAC) under Control Panel -> User Accounts.

Legally Download Diablo2

So Blizzard created an online store which allows you to legally download games from their site. You do not need to purchase anything. You only need to enter your CD-Key into there site (A CD-Key only works once on their site), then your account can legally download the game.

Steps to Download Diablo II:
1) Go over to http://www.blizzard.com/store/
2) Create an account and verify it, if you do not have one.
3) When your logged in, hit the Account link in the top-right.
4) There should be four tabs on the right side, click the one that says Games.
5) You should now be at, https://www.blizzard.com/account/management/games.xml
6) Click Add New Game
7) Add your Diablo II CD-Key in the input box provided.
8) Repeat Step 6 and 7 for your Expansion CD-Key.
9) Now in your Games page, you should see Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
10) Download the two downloaders (Choosing Mac or Windows).
11) Open up the classic D2 Installer, and choose a location for download.
12) Once completed, install it.
13) Repeat 11-12 for expansion.

Note: You are given a new rendered 26 character cd-key from the site that you must use for the installation. I assume you can use cd-key changer afterwards to change it.
